                 JP-6/TR-808 (CR-5000/8000) ARPEGGIO CONNECTION
        

         This information is our final solution to a misoperation on JP-
    6/TR-808 (CR-5000/8000) arpeggio connection which sometimes some steps
    are missed, especially, in the range from middle to high tempo. And
    the following procedure should take priority of both Service
    Information No.100208-2 and 100203. Please refer to them.

         To ensure the JP-6/TR-808 arpeggio connection, we changed
    program version of PROM 2732A-A from ver. 2 to ver. 3, and the
    modified new PROM (ver. 3) has already been used in JP-6 from the
    serial number 755800. In case that you have to do the same in the
    above purpose, it needs for you to pay attention to the following
    points.
    
    1) JP-6 with the serial numbers from 250100 to 260449
    
    STEP-1 : Replace PROM 2732A-A (ver. 1 or 2) with new one (ver. 3).

    STEP-2 : Check whether C-17 capacitor on JACK BOARD is 0.001 type or not. If so, it is ok.

    STEP-3 : Cut the light brown wire (BJ-7) of the connector mounted
             on BENDER BOARD so that a circuit (TR-3, R-20 and R-23)
             in the BENDER BOARD may not function. Please refer to the
             enclosed drawing.
    NOTE:    This circuit has been removed from the BENDER BOARD
             already from the serial number 260450.
    

    2) JP-6 with the serial numbers from 260450 to 353799

    STEP-1 : Replace PROM 2732A-A (ver. 2) with new one (ver. 3).

    STEP-2 : Check whether C-17 capacitor on JACK BOARD is 0.001
            type or not. In case of that it is 0.1 type, exchange
            it for 0.001 type.
